Mood disorders are characterized by marked disturbance in mood that impairs functioning ranging from moderate to severe. Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar Disorder are the most prevalent mood disorders, and our treatment extends to include manic depression, clinical depression, mood swings, postpartum pepression, and seasonal affective disorder.

Major Depressive Disorder

Depression is characterized by feelings of hopelessness or helplessness, excessive sleeping or lack of sleep, lethargy, poor appetite or eating too much, low self-esteem and impaired abilities to concentrate or make decisions.


Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar Disorder is marked by experiencing mood swings. These shifts can be severe, ranging from extreme energy to deep despair. Extreme changes in energy, activity, sleep, and behavior go along with changes in mood, These mood shifts disrupt normal life activities. Sometimes, a mood episode includes symptoms of both mania and depression.
